I've been in the ‘ design and art business’ for most of my working life and today, painting is my excuse to hang around things that I enjoy - classic machines.

Seeing and hearing a beautifully engineered and designed vehicle, no matter if it's in the air, on the ground or indeed on water, immediately takes me back to a time when there was a pride in workmanship. Painting these craft is my way of acknowledging that on-going commitment and craftsmanship.

So, if you have a cherished car, motorcycle, boat or aircraft, in fact any type of vehicle classic or vintage that has an engine, I would be delighted to produce a unique and individual study for you. Unique because I do not sell work for reproduction in any way. Your machine…, your painting, for your eyes (and your guests) only.

I may however with your agreement use the image for limited edition prints or short run cards.

I very often, do paintings simply for pleasure. This means I usually have  a varied collection of original paintings for sale. These change quite often so keep an eye on this site.

Probably like yourself, I still always get a real thrill seeing and hearing classic English, Italian, American, French, German and Japanese (sorry if I missed a country or two out) motorcycles and even cars not to mention the fantastic aircraft and boats from all over the world that are still up and running.

Aircraft, like all the subjects  that I paint come from all walks of life. WWI and WWII fighters and bombers, recce, rescue etc. even the Korean conflict, restored biplanes and various general aviation aircraft. And the cars don't have to be racing or sports cars, in fact I am as happy painting Minis as I would Maserati's. The same goes for motorcycles or boats, just as long as they are classic or veterans and have an engine.
